Two young women attacked in Wellington over weekend

In the first, a 17-year-old girl was walking alone on Friday between 8pm and 8.30pm when three men accosted her on Belfast St, Newtown.
She was punched repeatedly in the stomach and her purse and camera were stolen.
The victim was wearing a light coloured Adidas hoodie.
The second attack took place at around 2.45am today in suburban Mt Cook.
A 23-year-old woman was followed along Wallace Terrace into Howard Street, where a man put his hand around her neck.
The woman screamed and the man ran away.
Witnesses said the man ran back on to Wallace Terrace when they went to help the woman.
